500g of Acorus calamus (homegrown, peeled, roots removed, sliced, soaked in rice water for three days, pressed to remove bitter water), 150g of ginger (unpeeled, finely sliced), 120g of white salt (pickled with Acorus calamus overnight, baked dry), 60g of Atractylodes macrocephala, 60g of licorice (roasted).
