The above four ingredients, Atractylodes and chicken gizzard are used raw, each finely ground and baked until cooked. Then, dry ginger is finely ground and mixed with jujube flesh, mashed into a paste, and formed into small cakes. These are roasted dry over a charcoal fire and consumed as a snack before meals, chewed thoroughly and swallowed.
