250 gm of Eagle Claw Coptis, 60 gm of Sophora Flower Buds, 30 gm of Bitter Orange, 15 gm each of Saposhnikovia Root, Licorice, Sophora Pods, Cyperus Rotundus, Pig's Teeth, Gleditsia Sinensis, and Costus Root.

Except for Cyperus, grind the above ingredients together into a fine powder. Then, take 130 grams of aged rice and grind it into powder along with Cyperus. Use a section of pig's large intestine about 62 centimeters long, wash it clean, and fill it with the Cyperus and rice mixture, tying the ends securely. Place it in a clay pot with 700 ml of water, and cook over charcoal fire. Add water as it dries up, and slowly cook until the intestine becomes as soft as mud. Remove and mix with the medicine, pounding it into a paste. Then, add the powdered Coptis and other ingredients, and pound together to form pills as big as phoenix tree seeds. Administer 80 pills with rice soup before meals.
