Take the above 4 ingredients, use 1.5 shēng of fresh water (snow water is even better), soak for two to three hours in spring and autumn, or overnight in winter. Boil in a silver or stone vessel until reduced to 900 ml, then filter to remove dregs. Separately, take 500 gm of honey and a small amount of litharge, grind into a very fine powder, mix into the honey, and boil. Use a lacquer-free spoon to scoop and stir the honey rapidly. Once the boiling subsides, one person stirs the honey while another stirs the medicinal liquid. Combine both and mix well, then boil until it boils three times and the color slightly changes. Filter again with new cotton to remove dregs, store in a container, and apply to the eyes as usual.
