bubble_chart Indications

Excessive internal heat, qi stagnation, abdominal distension and pain, and constipation.

bubble_chart Formula Principles

This formula shares the same medicinal ingredients as the Minor Purgative Decoction from the "Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases," but differs in dosage. The Minor Purgative Decoction aims to eliminate accumulation and attack excess, hence Rhubarb Rhizoma is the principal herb. This formula, however, focuses on moving qi and relieving fullness, with Magnolia Bark as the main component. In the formula, Magnolia Bark moves qi and reduces fullness; Rhubarb Rhizoma and Immature Orange Fruit purge heat and remove stagnation. The combination of these three herbs ensures the smooth flow of qi stagnation, eliminates excess accumulation, and facilitates the movement of bowel qi, thereby resolving all symptoms.
