Lung yin deficiency leads to excessive heat in the lung meridian, resulting in metal gan (phlyctenular conjunctivitis). It manifests as jade-like granules inside the eyelid, causing discomfort, pain, and the formation of nebula. Alternatively, it may occur on the qi orbiculus, with eye pain and tearing, worsening in the morning and slightly improving in the afternoon.
