Grind into powder, mix with pig bile to form a paste that is not too thin, spread it in a bowl. Use 30 grams each of Schizonepeta and Artemisia, and one small stem of Gleditsia sinensis. Burn these to produce smoke, and fumigate the bowl containing the medicine by covering it high above. Continuously stir the medicinal paste, spread it again, and fumigate until the Gleditsia sinensis, Schizonepeta, and Artemisia are completely used up. Then, knead the mixture into a lump, wrap it in oiled paper, and bury it in the ground to remove fire toxins. In winter, leave it for two days and nights; in summer, one day and night; and in autumn, one night. Afterward, take it out and form into pills the size of a needle tip. Use one pill each time, applying it into the eye.
