Scutellaria and Coptis are prepared with wine to guide the other herbs directly to the affected area. Saposhnikovia Root, Chastetree Fruit, Dahurian Angelica, Notopterygium, Stephania Tetrandra, and others are used to dispel wind and remove dampness. Liquorice Root harmonizes and moderates the effects of the other herbs. Together, they work to enrich yin, clear heat, and dispel wind and dampness.
