In the formula, Chinese tamarisk twig, Great Burdock Achene, and Bamboo Leaf serve as the monarch herbs, with their pungent and cool properties promoting dispersion, clearing heat, opening and discharging, releasing the flesh, and effusing the external. Cicada Slough, Mentha, Pueraria Root, and Schizonepeta act as the minister herbs, with their pungent properties expelling and dispersing heat, releasing the exterior, and dispelling wind.
