Boils and abscesses with weakened original qi, or those that have been subjected to purgative treatments, fail to rupture and disperse. Currently used for otopyorrhea (suppurative otitis media), congealed-fat nebula (purulent keratitis), and other diseases of the five sense organs, in cases where there is a deficiency of qi and blood.
