In cases of severe vulval dryness with excessive fire and mild Shaoyang symptoms, remove Skullcap Root and Great Burdock Achene, add American Ginseng, and double the dosage of Gypsum, Rehmannia, and Ophiopogon. If the Shaoyang symptoms are particularly severe, replace Skullcap Root with Gentian. For cases with excessive phlegm and saliva, continue to use Great Burdock Achene, or add fresh Garden Radish Seed juice and Cow-Bezoar, reduce the dosage of Ophiopogon and Rehmannia, and add Bitter Apricot Seed, Inula Flower, and Trichosanthis Fruit peel.
