bubble_chart Formula Principles
This formula is primarily used to treat unresolved exterior pattern of cold-damage disease with intense interior heat, thus addressing both the exterior and interior. In the formula, Gypsum serves as the sovereign to resolve depression and discharge heat, while Ephedra and Fermented Soybean act as ministers to induce sweating and release the exterior. Coptis Rhizome, Phellodendron Bark, Skullcap Root, and Gardenia are used as assistants to purge the fire of the triple energizer. Combined, this formula releases the exterior without exacerbating interior heat, clears heat without neglecting the treatment of the exterior, making it an excellent remedy for releasing both internal and external conditions.
