Licorice 6 gm, Ephedra 12 gm

Take the above two ingredients, boil Ephedra in 500 ml of water, remove the scum, add Licorice, decoct until reduced to 300 ml, administer 100 ml while warm. Repeat until sweating occurs; if no sweating occurs, take another dose. Avoid wind and cold.

Internal edema. The body and face are completely swollen, with severe swelling above the waist. There is mild fever, no thirst, absence of sweating, and difficulty in urination.
