Deficiency fatigue, wiry and rapid pulse with fine and faint qualities, scaly skin, emaciated body, poor appetite and lack of strength, spontaneous sweating, cough with counterflow, panting, irregular chills and fever, excessive dreaming, and unconsolidated essential qi.

bubble_chart Formula Modification

For severe deficiency of qi aspect, remove Sparganium Rhizome and Zedoary Rhizome, and add 9 grams of raw Chicken's Gizzard-Skin; for wheezing, double the amount of Chinese Yam and add 9 grams of Great Burdock Achene; for excessive sweating, replace Astragalus Root with White Atractylodes Rhizome, double the amount of Fossil Bone and oyster shell, and add 18 grams each of Cornus and raw Peony Root. If sweating is excessive and does not stop after taking the medicine, use only 30 grams each of Fossil Bone, oyster shell, and Cornus to decoct and take. No more than two doses are needed to stop the sweating. After the sweating stops, resume taking the original prescription.
