The Effects on Conditioned Reflexes and Blood Pressure in Normal and Hypertensive Dogs (Reference for Chinese Medicine Research, 1975(9): 25-26). This formula, a 200% water decoction, administered at a dose of 80 ml per dog per day for 10-22 days, did not affect dogs with normal higher nervous activity. However, it had a certain regulatory effect when higher nervous activity was impaired. It did not lower blood pressure in normal dogs but had a certain hypotensive effect in hypertensive dogs. From the experimental results, it appears that Gastrodia and Uncaria Drink has both hypotensive effects and the ability to regulate higher nervous activity, providing some pharmacological theoretical basis for the efficacy of this formula in treating certain types of hypertension.
