Due to constitutional yin deficiency and blood deficiency, or prolonged illness damaging yin, or excessive loss of blood, or overthinking leading to heart and kidney yin deficiency, failing to restrain yang, while also due to internal disturbance by virtual heat, body fluids being forced outward, often accompanied by symptoms such as virtual vexation insomnia, palpitation forgetfulness, dizziness tinnitus, dry throat and tongue, sore waist and weak knees, dreamfulness seminal emission, steaming bone fever tidal fever, short and reddish urine, red tongue with scant fur, pulse manifestation thin and rapid. Treatment should focus on tonifying and replenishing the heart and kidney, with prescriptions such as Bu Xin Dan and Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill with modifications.
