Ilex seeds (raw) 500 gm (steamed seven times with aged wine and honey, sun-dried for seven days, and dew-dried for seven nights, then baked dry) 1 live bat, 30 gm each of night-bright sand (washed with wine, boiled, stir-fried), wolfberry (pounded, baked), cooked rehmannia (soaked in wine, baked), and mung bean shells (stir-fried), 9 gm each of Sichuan coptis (lightly stir-fried) and prepared white atractylodes, 45 gm of cinnabar (half mashed with the bat, the rest used as coating).

Grind into a fine powder, make into pills with refined honey, coat with cinnabar, as big as a phoenix tree seed. Take 50 pills each time, to be swallowed with warm wine after meals.
