- The onset is acute, with possible fever, general malaise, and other discomforts. There may be vulvar cutaneous pruritus or burning pain. Ulcers can occur in various parts of the vulva, most commonly on the inner sides of the labia minora and labia majora, followed by the vestibular membrane and around the vaginal orifice.
- The lesions can be classified into foxtail millet-sized, chancre-type, gangrenous-type, and mixed-type.
