This prescription is suitable for dryness-heat damage to yin, leading to deficiency of lung and stomach fluids. In the prescription, Coastal Glehnia Root and Ophiopogon Tuber, which are sweet and cold in nature, enrich yin and produce fluid, clearing and nourishing the lung and stomach; Polyghace Seche and smallpox, when used together, promote fluid production to quench thirst and nourish yin to benefit the stomach; Hyacinth Bean and Liquorice Root, both entering the spleen, tonify the middle and strengthen the spleen to enhance the source of fluid and blood production, assisted by Mulberry Leaf, which is pungent and cool, lightly dispersing and clearing the lung. The combination of these herbs achieves the effect of clearing and moistening the lung and stomach, and promoting fluid production to relieve cough.
