bubble_chart Documentation
Ang's note: The pathogenic factors of cold-damage disease have no boundaries between the hands and feet, hence Zhongjing also has several purgative heart decoctions, and the Ephedra Cinnamon Twig is considered by previous scholars to be a lung medicine. This decoction purges the pathogenic factors from the heart and lungs, and the heat is expelled through the small intestine and bladder, hence it is also called "Guide Out the Red." The difference between this and the purgative heart decoctions lies in the absence of symptoms of stuffiness and hardness.
