bubble_chart Efficacy

Dispelling wind and dampness, relieving pain, and tonifying the liver and kidneys, as well as replenishing qi and blood.

bubble_chart Indications

Liver and kidney qi and blood deficiency, stagnation of qi and blood, spasm of hands and feet, and three types of bi syndrome caused by wind, cold, and dampness.

bubble_chart Formula Principles

The formula is named "Three Bi" because, as stated in the Neijing, the three qi of wind, cold, and dampness combine to form Bi. This formula can treat all three types of Bi, hence its name. The formula is derived from Pubescent Angelica and Taxillus Decoction by removing Chinese Taxillus Herb and adding Astragalus Root and Dipsacus. In the formula, Pubescent Angelica and Asarum expel wind and eliminate dampness, relieving Bi and alleviating pain; Prepared Rehmannia Root, along with other ingredients, nourishes yin and activates blood circulation; Eucommia Bark, Dipsacus, and Achyranthes Root strengthen the lower back and knees, and fortify the bones and tendons; Astragalus Root, Ginseng, Poria, and Liquorice Root tonify qi and strengthen the spleen; Cassia Central Bark dispels cold and relieves pain; Gentian and Saposhnikovia Root dispel cold and overcome dampness. Thus, when qi and blood are sufficient, the pathogenic factors are naturally eliminated.
