Looking to the left, Weiqi is inherently deficient, skin and hair are not firm, and there is sweating upon movement. Suddenly affected by wind evil, initially there is a shivering aversion to cold, a gradual aversion to wind, followed by a feverish sensation, headache and painful stiff nape, soreness in the waist and buttocks, interspersed with nausea, and profuse spontaneous sweating. After two days of delay, the tendency of the disease has increased, with spasms of the limbs, difficulty in flexion and extension, cold hands and feet, especially the ten fingers. Upon my consultation, I saw a face with a dull complexion, timid and shrinking limbs, and considerable spontaneous sweating, with slight breathlessness. This is a Taiyang (EX-HN5) exterior pattern, with defensive deficiency and terminal reversal, which must be overcome in one fell swoop; otherwise, it will be difficult to avoid the danger of cold limbs and deep pulses. Therefore, I prescribed Cinnamon Twig plus Aconite Decoction, and with one dose, the patient recovered:
Sichuan Cinnamon Twig 3 qian, Beijing Peony Root 4 qian, Prepared Liquorice Root 2.5 qian, Prepared Common Monkshood Daughter Root 5 qian, Fresh Ginger Rhizome 1.6 qian, Chinese Date 10 pieces (split).
