Ye Wanqing, 45 years old. He has always had a penchant for tea, which over time became a habit. Every morning after coughing, he would drink one or two cups of hot tea. At the beginning of June, he suddenly felt unwell, with a high fever. The doctor initially used remedies to relieve summer heat, then strong cooling agents, followed by very hot treatments, gradually leading to unconsciousness, abdominal distension and fullness like a drum; fatigue, bloating, and constipation, with a slow and fine pulse. The condition was identified as dampness-heat stagnation. First, the Zhongjing Fried-Honey Guiding Method was used, followed by a prescription to moisten the intestines, relieve summer heat, and remove dampness:
Mulberry Bark 9g, Bitter Apricot Seed 15g, Akebia Stem 9g, Indian Bread Tuckahoe 9g, Curcuma Root 9g, Raw Rhubarb 6g, Talc 19g, Liquorice Root 3g, Black Sesame 3g (crushed)
Note: This condition was treated with Zhongjing's guiding method to both lower and moisten. The medicine was taken at 6 PM, and by 8 PM, there was significant diarrhea. That night, he had diarrhea two or three times, expelling black feces mixed with saliva, and the bloating completely disappeared. Afterward, spleen-tonifying and dampness-removing methods were used to complete the treatment.
