bubble_chart Description Shen Ming-zong, styled Mu Nan, also known as Ming Sheng, was a renowned physician during the Kangxi and Qianlong periods of the Qing Dynasty. He specialized in treating seasonal diseases and, through practice, realized that the "dryness" pathogen should be divided into warm and cool types, which made his treatments highly effective. In the study of "cold-damage disease," he admired Fang You-zhi and Yu Jia-yan, among others. In the 32nd year of Kangxi (1693 AD), he authored the eight-volume work "Cold-Damage Disease: Six Meridians Differentiation and Treatment Methods." The arrangement of this book imitated the Shanglun Pian, but in its compilation and annotation, it emphasized the main syndromes of the six meridians, showcasing many of his personal innovations. Another of his works, "Shen's Commentary on Jingui Yaolue," has also been passed down through the ages.
