One translation is Salimishi or Sadimishi (dates of birth and death unknown), courtesy name Qianzhai, of Mongolian ethnicity. During the Taiding era of the Yuan Dynasty (1324-1328), he served as the prefect of Jianchang (present-day Nancheng, Jiangxi) as a censor, and was also knowledgeable in medicine. In his spare time from official duties, he paid attention to medical texts, often pondering the causes of diseases, evaluating suitable prescriptions, and diligently collecting formulas not recorded in previous medical books. He carefully verified these in clinical practice, often achieving effective results, and over time accumulated a wealth of information. Around 1326, with the assistance of a physician, he compiled and revised the book. As he used "Ruizhu" as the name of his hall, he titled the book Ruizhutang Jingyanfang.
