Jiang Guan (1503-1565), courtesy name Minying and pseudonym Huangnanzi, was a native of She County. He was a scholar during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty and later specialized in medicine. He extensively collected and studied the diagnostic and treatment cases of renowned physicians from ancient and modern times, repeatedly reviewed them, and selected and recorded them. After more than twenty years, he compiled the first specialized medical casebook.
