A ten-volume pharmaceutical work. Compiled by Yan Jie, Shi Wen, and Hong Weiquan during the Qing Dynasty, it was published in 1761. The book discusses 647 medicinal substances selected from the Bencao Gangmu. In addition to detailing the medicinal properties, flavors, meridian tropisms, functions, and primary treatments of each substance, it extensively explores the combined applications of different medicines, which is a distinctive feature of this work. The authors established the principles of "acquisition, compatibility, assistance, and harmony" for medicinal substances and used the first two characters as the title of the book. Original Qing Dynasty woodblock prints exist, and typeset editions have been published after 1949.
