bubble_chart Description The Daguan Bencao was a work from the Song Dynasty, edited by Ai Sheng, who revised Tang Shen-wei's Zhenglei Bencao. It incorporated forty-four annotations from Chen Cheng's Chongguang Buzhu Shennong Bencao and the Tujing. The text comprises thirty-one volumes with one volume of catalog, listing a total of 1,744 medicinal items. It was titled "Jingshi Zhenglei Daguan Bencao," commonly abbreviated as Daguan Bencao. It was published by Hanlin Academician Sun Di in the second year of the Daguan era of the Song Dynasty (1108 AD). Later editions include the Zongwen Academy edition from the sixth year of the Yuandade era (1302), reprints from the fifth year (1577) and thirty-eighth year (1610) of the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty, and a reprint by Wu Jin Ke Fengshi in the thirtieth year of the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty (1904), which have been passed down to the present day.
