This book is a specialized work in forensic medicine. Written by Wang Yu of the Yuan Dynasty, it was first published in the first year of Zhida (1308) and revised and republished by Wang Yu between 1323 and 1346. The book is divided into three parts. The first part includes 13 items from "Differences in Ancient and Modern Examination Methods" to "Death of Convicts from Illness," which introduce Wang Yu's own experiences in corpse examination. The second part covers the forensic examination system of the Yuan Dynasty, with many corpse examination regulations not recorded in the Yuan Dianzhang, making it a valuable resource for studying the history of forensic medicine. The third part, titled "Volume Two," includes 43 items such as "General Discussion on Examination and Review," compiled based on the Confucian Official Examination Program (Case Conclusion Format), "Xi Yuan Lu," and "Ping Yuan Lu."

Currently, complete versions of Wuyuanlu include: the Zhenbilou Congshu (1909) edition of Wuyuanlu, Wuyuanlu Jizhu (1915), and the Jingxianglou Congshu (1929) edition of Wuyuanlu, among others. The latter two are reprints in China of the New Annotated Wuyuanlu from Korea.
