This book consists of 30 volumes and is a medical work from the Song Dynasty. The current version does not specify the author or the initial publication date, only noting "Fengyi Jia Jianchong revised and finalized."
Jifeng Puji Fang The original printed edition is lost, and the existing version is a reprint from the Southern Song Dynasty by Wang Shizhong in the eighth year of the Daoguang era (1828) of the Qing Dynasty. In 1987, the Shanghai Shuxue Technology Publishing House published a photocopy of this edition.
Jifeng Puji Fang Among the 30 volumes, volumes 2, 3, 6, and 8 were already missing when Wang reprinted them (the table of contents for volumes 6 and 8 still exists), and there are also some scattered missing pages. The first volume of the book is "Various Theories," which summarizes the etiology, pathogenesis, drug processing, and prescription rules for various diseases; volumes 4 to 27 list effective prescriptions for conditions such as beriberi, cold-damage disease, deficiency, spleen and stomach, diarrhea, women's diseases, consumptive thirst, and pediatric diseases, categorized by type; volumes 28 to 29 describe the preparation and functions of vermilion pills; and volume 30 includes commonly used emergency folk remedies.
Jifeng Puji Fang The book is a comprehensive compilation of medical experiences before the Song Dynasty, covering internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, and pediatrics, with over 3,000 prescriptions. Each prescription details the treated conditions, drug composition, preparation, and usage, providing both prescriptions and discussions, with rich content. In addition to prescriptions, the book also includes conduction exercises and acupuncture and moxibustion therapies for certain conditions, concise and practical. The book is written in a refined and straightforward style, and many of the formulas it contains are still highly effective today, making it a medical work of significant practical value.
