bubble_chart Etymology

This point is based on Zhongwan (CV12), and its four corners and center form a total of five points, shaped like plum blossoms, hence the name.

bubble_chart Location

It is located on the abdomen, at the midpoint of the line connecting the lower edge of the sternum and the umbilicus on the front midline; the midline is one-fifth of the way to both sides, three and five cun below the lower edge of the sternum. There are two points; there are two points three and five cun above the navel, for a total of five points.

On the linea alba and the rectus abdominis, the deep part is the gastric Youmen (KI21) part; there are the superior epigastric artery and vein; and the medial branches of the anterior cutaneous branches of the seventh and eighth intercostal nerves are present.
