The point is located under the breast, where foot yangming stomach meridian (ST) passes. The stomach is the organ of the warehouse and the place where the grain is stored. This point can open the stomach qi, so it is called Tonggu. It is distinguished from foot taiyang bladder meridian (BL) Zutonggu (BL66) and foot shaoyin kidney meridian (KI) Futonggu (KI20).
