"Yin" (陰) refers to three yin meridians; "jiao" (交), intersecting. The acupoint is the intersection of conception vessel, thoroughfare vessel and foot shaoyin, hence the name.

• Muscle: in linea alba of abdominal, deep layer is small intestine.
• Nerve: medial branch of the anterior cutaneous branch of 10th intercostal nerve.
• Vessels: branches of superficial epigastric artery and vein, branches of inferior epigastric artery and vein.

Perpendicular insertion 1～1.5 cun. Moxibustion with moxa cone 3 to 7 times, moxibustion with moxa stick for 15 to 20 minutes.

Facilitate water metabolism, reduce swelling, regulate menstruation and leukorrhea.

• Classical: edema, abdominal pain, abdominal fullness, colicky pain in small intestine radiating to umbilicus, insomnia due to fright, dysuria, amenorrhea, infertility.
• Modern: dysfunctional uterine bleeding, pelvic inflammation.
