In lower abdomen, 4 cun below the umbilicus (Zhongji (CV3)) and 0.5 cun lateral to the midline.

  • Muscles: aponeurosis of internal and external oblique muscles, aponeurosis of transversus abdominis muscle, and rectus abdominis muscle. (Deep layer: small intestine).
  • Nerve: Twelfth intercostal nerve and subcostal nerve.
  • Vessels: muscular branches of inferior epigastric artery and vein.

Perpendicular insertion is 0.5 to 1.5 cun. Avoid deep insertion the bladder is full. Moxibustion with moxa cone 3 to 5 times, moxibustion with moxa stick for 10 to 15 minutes.
