Come together, meet. foot taiyang bladder meridian (BL) is divided into two branches on the back and thigh, and they meet at Weizhong (BL40) and go down. The acupoint is at that location, hence the name.

Behind the calf, 2 cun below the middle of the popliteal crease (Weizhong (BL40)), in the depression between the two heads of the gastrocnemius muscle, when Weizhong (BL40) on connection with Chengshan (BL57).

  • Muscles: between the two heads of gastrocnemius, metatarsus muscle.
  • Nerve: medial sural cutaneous nerve, deep layer is tibial nerve.
  • Vessel: small saphenous vein, deep layer is popliteal artery and vein.
