肓, 肓 membrane; door, portal. triple energizer Weiqi "smeared in the membrane", the point is on the outside of Sanjiaoshu (BL22), hence the name.

Open 3 cun lateral to the spinous process of the first lumbar vertebra (Xuanshu (GV5)), near the lower edge of the 12th rib, inwardly with Sanjiaoshu (BL22) Phase equal.

  • Muscles: latissimus dorsi, iliocostalis (deep to the kidneys).
  • Nerves: lateral branch of the posterior branch of the twelfth thoracic nerve, lateral branch of the posterior branch of the first lumbar nerve.
  • Vessels: first lumbar artery and dorsal branch of vein.

Perpendicular insertion or oblique insertion 0.5~0.8 cun to the side of the spine, not too deep. Moxibustion with moxa cone 3 to 7 times, moxibustion with moxa stick for 10 to 15 minutes.
