3 cun below the spinous process of the third thoracic vertebra on the back (Shenzhu (GV12)), which is the depression beside the medial end of the scapula. Internally tied with Feishu (BL13).

- Muscles: trapezius, rhomboids, the deep layer is the iliocostalis (the lungs are inside the chest, when the lower lobe of the lungs).
- Nerves: lateral cutaneous branches of the posterior branches of the second and third thoracic nerves, and the deep layer is the dorsal scapular nerve.
- Vessels: dorsal branch of the third intercostal artery, descending branch of the transverse cervical artery.

The oblique insertion is 0.5~0.8 cun, and should not be too deep to avoid accidentally entering the chest and injuring the lungs. Moxibustion with moxa cone 3 to 7 times, moxibustion with moxa stick for 10 to 15 minutes.
