Ginseng 3-6 gm (or up to 30 gm), Atractylodes (stir-fried) 3-6 gm (or up to 30 gm), roasted Licorice 3 gm, Angelica 3-6 gm (not to be used in cases of slippery diarrhea); for extreme deficiency of the spleen and stomach, severe vomiting without relief, double the dosage of Ginseng and Atractylodes, add 0.3-0.6 gm of Pepper, decoct and take slowly.
