[Documentation]
- Bencao Gangmu: honeysuckle flower. The stems, leaves and flowers have the same functions. In the past, people said it was an important medicine for treating wind, removing swelling, and relieving dysentery, but later generations no longer knew how to use it. Later generations called it an important medicine for reducing swelling, dispersing poison, and curing sores, but the ancients did not mention it, but they know the principles of ancient and modern times. They are all different and cannot be the same. According to Chen Zi-ming Waike Jingyao, honeysuckle flower and wine are used to treat Yongju back gangrene. Take this with a meal at the beginning of the disease. The effect is amazing and is better than the internal elimination of redness. Hong Mai and Shen Kuo have recorded it in detail.
- "Medical True Biography": Every time I use Lonicera, many people use it differently. It is said that it is not a carbuncle poison sore and ulcer. What is the benefit of using it? The vine of Lonicera is the medicine of Xuantong Jingmai. It can regulate qi and blood through Jingmai. It is not suitable for any disease. It is not necessary to treat carbuncle poison and then use it.
- Bencaozheng Yi: honeysuckle flower, Bielu is said to be sweet and warm, but in fact, its main therapeutic effects are clearing heat and removing toxin, and it cannot be said to be warm. Therefore, Chen Cang-qi calls it Slight Cold (23rd solar term), and clearly states that it is not warm; Zhen Quan calls it pungent in taste, but the pungency can be dispersed, so it can relieve heat toxin, and Quan says this is true. Nowadays, people mostly use its flowers, but in fact the flowers are light in nature and have very weak strength, not as thick as the branches and vines. The ancients only called honeysuckle flower and did not say it was a flower, so they did not use the flower as medicine and could get it from words. Looking at the various directions attached to Gangmu, there are still many vine leaves, which is even more evident. Bielu is said to treat Hanre's body swelling, and it also refers to Hanre's carbuncle sore and ulcer, which is the same as Chen Zi-ming's Waike Jingyao's honeysuckle flower wine and honeysuckle flower round agree that it cannot cure all swelling. Zhen Quan is said to treat abdominal distension and fullness, but there may be some misunderstanding. Although it tastes pungent and can be dispersed, its nature is cold and cold, so it is definitely not a medicine for treating distension and fullness. Zhen Quan is also said to be able to stop the flow of qi, and the heat toxin is accumulated under the retention of food in the intestines. This can clear it, and it is also like Chen Cang-qi, which is said to cure heat toxin, blood dysentery and ears. Zangqi is also said to treat watery dysentery, which means that the stool is self-beneficial for water discharge, but it may be used for heat dysentery, but it is not suitable for the self-benefit of kidney deficiency and spleen deficiency. It is said to be used to treat various swellings and poisons, Yongju, scabies, chinese wax myrtle bark and various malignant sores, and to dissipate heat and remove toxin. Nowadays, people mostly use its flowers, which are not as powerful as the leaves of the vine. It is not only necessary for decoction, but also good for external use in decoction and washing. It is available everywhere and is inexhaustible. It is a good medicine that can be simply, conveniently and cheaply prepared.

- Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects: The luteolin contained in this product can inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis at a concentration of 1:350000. It also has inhibitory effects on catarrhal bacteria, Candida albicans, disease caused by cold, dysentery, Proteus and other bacteria. 50% decoction of the above-ground part of honeysuckle flower, using the flat trenching method, has an inhibitory effect on disease caused by cold bacilli, dysentery bacilli, Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa; 50% fresh juice of stems and leaves has an inhibitory effect on disease caused by cold bacilli. , dysentery bacillus flexneri and Staphylococcus aureus have inhibitory effect, but it is weaker than the whole above-ground part of the stem. It also has a strong anti-infectious effect in the body. It has a strong inhibitory effect on H.Su-is virus. At a dose of 20mg/kg×7d, it can significantly inhibit the inflammatory process caused by wool ball implantation in rats.
- Effects on heart blood tubes: Luteolin can reduce the diastolic amplitude of isolated frog hearts at a concentration of 5×10, and has a Grade I reduction in systolic amplitude, slowing down the heart rate, and reducing output. At a concentration of 2×10, it can increase the systolic and diastolic amplitudes of the isolated guinea pig heart, and the heart rate becomes faster, but has no direct effect on the coronary stirred pulse and blood volume. For the heart and lung apparatus of dogs, 5-10 mg of luteolin can increase the stirred pulse pressure and reduce the venous pressure. 10 mg can reduce the blood flow of the lower limbs of rats (33%). 5-15 mg can increase the blood pressure of cats and dogs. 12~30%. The above effects cannot be blocked by alpha-adrenergic blockers. Subcutaneous injection of 0.5g/kg in rats can strengthen capillaries. It has the effect of lowering blood cholesterol in experimental stirred pulse atherosclerosis in rabbits.
- Antispasmodic effect: Luteolin has antispasmodic effect on isolated rabbit small intestine, guinea pig tracheal smooth muscle and ileum.
- Other effects: Using the mouse phenol red method and the rat capillary method, luteolin has a good dispelling phlegm effect. Luteolin has an inhibitory effect on the growth of NK/Ly abdominal retention of water cancer cells in vitro.
