hydrargyri oxydum rubrum was first published in Surgical Illustrations, and is also known as Shengdan and hydrargyri oxydum rubrum. Pharmacopoeial name Hydrargyrum Oxydatum Crudum. This product is crude mercury oxide crystal made by sublimation processing of Mercury, Niter, Alum and other raw materials. The traditional method is Mercury 6 taels, Niter 3.75 taels, and Alum 4.5 taels. In the alchemy furnace, it is knotted and loaded. , sealing, heating and refining, cooling and other processes to obtain red or yellow sublimation crystals. The former is called Hydrargyrum Oxydatum Crudum or Hydrargyrum Oxydatum Crudum, and the latter is called Huang Shengdan. Due to the different temperatures in the refining process, the color of Shengdan can be red or yellow. The dosage of hydrargyri oxydum rubrum is 0.3～0.6g each time, and the dosage of Hydrargyrum Oxydatum Crudum is 0.06～0.09g each time. They should be made into pills and taken in powder form. The original medicine cannot be used. For external use, use chicken feathers dipped in a little medicated powder and sprinkle it on the sore surface. It can also be made into oil or ointment and applied on the skin. It can also be made into medicated thread and inserted into the sinus.
