This product is the shell of several species of sea clams, including the mollusk Meretrix meretrix Linnaeus and the green clam (Cyclina sinensis Gmelin). Fishing is done in summer and autumn.

bitter and salty, cold. act on lung and stomach channels.

[Indications]

1. clearing the lung and resolving phlegm: mainly treats phlegm-heat cough, yellow and sticky phlegm, fire stagnation, and chest and hypochondrium pain.
2. Softening hardness and dissipating mass: good at treating galls, subcutaneous nodule, scrofula. Each combination of medicinals dispersing phlegm.
3. disinhibiting water and dispersing edema: used for edema, which is difficult to urinate.
4. When this product is forged, it can produce acid and relieve pain, and can cure stomachache acid swallow.

[Usage and Dosage]

10～15g, Clam Shell Powder should be wrapped-boiling; take into pill powder, 1～3g.
