This product is the seed kernel of glutinous rice, a variety of the Poaceae family. Glutinous rice is a variant of rice cultivated in China. The grains are milky white, with endosperm rich in branched-chain starch, which is easily gelatinized, highly sticky, and has low swelling properties.
