- For scrofula galls. This product is pungent to dissipate stagnation, bitter to relieve heat, mainly enters the liver meridian, and has a good effect of clearing the liver and dispersing stagnation. The whole plant of this product contains triterpene saponins and coffee bean acids, alkaloids and water-soluble salts.
- The stems, leaves, flower spikes and whole plant of Prunella all have antihypertensive effects. It is not known whether the antihypertensive effect is related to the potassium salt contained and the dilation of blood vessels.
