One jin of chaulmoogra tree seed, one and a half liang of scorpion, two and a half qian of Cicada Slough, five qian of Tail of Chinese Angelica, two and a half qian of Stiff Silkworm, two liang each of Sophora, Saposhnikovia Root, and Notopterygium, one liang each of Pubescent Angelica, Rhubarb Rhizoma, Schizonepeta, and Sichuan Lovage Rhizome, two liang of Black-Tail Snake meat. Grind into fine powder, mix with cooked white rice to form pills. Take 50 pills each time, washed down with clear tea.
  2. Dafeng Dan (Xiezheng Lun): Treats itchy scabies. Three qian of chaulmoogra tree seed meat, two qian of native sulfur, one qian of dried alum, two qian of bright arsenic. Grind into powder, mix with lamp oil for application.
  3. Dafeng Ointment (Shesheng Zhongmiao Fang, Volume 8): Treats all types of dry and wet scabies, pustules, and sores. Two liang of chaulmoogra tree seed (with shell), four qian of dried alum, three fen of camphor, three fen each of snake slough (calcined to retain properties) and honeycomb (calcined to retain properties), five qian of mercury, four liang of pine oil candle. Grind into powder, then mix with pine oil candle and mercury, grind evenly, apply thickly.
  4. Dafeng Ointment (Shesheng Zhongmiao Fang): Treats scabies. Three qian each of chaulmoogra tree seed and camphor, one qian of mercury, seven fen of dried alum, eight fen of Phelloendron Bark. First grind Phelloendron Bark very finely, then grind chaulmoogra tree seed into a paste, mix with water, alum, and pine, then add camphor and grind until moist. Apply to sores.
  5. Dafeng Ointment (Baoying Sheyao, Volume 18): Treats all types of sores and scabies. Two liang each of chaulmoogra tree seed meat (ground into paste) and Coptis Rhizome, one liang each of true calomel, dried alum, and Cnidium Fruit, six liang of pine oil. Grind each ingredient into powder, mix with Dafeng Ointment, then add pine oil, pound over a hundred times to form ointment. Apply a small amount to affected area.
  6. Dafeng Ointment (Yi Bian, Volume 3): Treats pustular scabies. Forty-nine chaulmoogra tree seeds (shelled), forty-nine Bitter Apricot Seeds (with skin and tip), three qian each of Pricklyash Peel, dried alum, calomel (can substitute mercury), Cnidium Fruit (separately ground, clean, powdered), camphor, three fen each of honeycomb (charred to retain properties) and snake slough (charred to retain properties), three liang of oil candle. Grind into fine powder, melt pine oil candle and mix evenly, apply for three to five days to cure.
  7. Dafeng Ointment (Waike Hexuan, Volume 12): Treats skirt edge sores. One hundred chaulmoogra tree seeds, five fen of dried alum, one qian of Pricklyash Peel powder, one qian of calomel. Grind into powder, mix with true pine oil for application.
  8. Chaulmoogra Tree Seed Ointment (Sore and Ulcer External Materia Medica formula): Treats rosacea. Equal parts of chaulmoogra tree seed meat, walnut kernel meat, mercury, and tea leaves. First grind tea leaves finely, mix with mercury until no stars are visible, then grind chaulmoogra tree seed meat and walnut kernel meat into paste, mix all ingredients into ointment, mix with sesame oil to form paste. Apply thinly to affected area, once in the morning and once at night.
  9. Dafeng Pill (Jiewei Yuanfu, Volume 4): Treats foul decay of eyebrows and body. Thirty liang of chaulmoogra tree seed meat, ten liang each of Saposhnikovia Root and Sichuan Lovage Rhizome, two liang each of cicada shell, Notopterygium, Asarum, Shouwu, Pubescent Angelica, Sophora, Chinese Angelica, Achyranthes Root, scorpion, Astragalus, and Mentha, five qian each of Dahurian Angelica, Cibot Rhizome, Cow-Bezoar, and Dragon's Blood Resin. Grind into powder, mix with rice paste to form pills. Take 15 pills each time on an empty stomach with tea, three times a day.
