This product is the tuberous root of the perennial climbing herb Asparagus Root (Asparagus cochinchinensis (Lour.) Merr.) from the Lily Bulb family. It is mainly produced in Guizhou, Sichuan, Guangxi, and other regions. The roots are harvested in autumn and winter, washed, and the stem base and fibrous roots are removed. They are then boiled or steamed until thoroughly cooked, and while still hot, the outer skin is removed. After washing, they are dried. The roots are sliced thinly and used in their raw form.

  2. Used for kidney yin deficiency, yin deficiency with effulgent fire, tidal fever night sweat, seminal emission, internal heat consumptive thirst, intestinal dryness constipation, etc. It can nourish kidney yin, clear and reduce deficient fire, produce fluid to moisten dryness.
