For persistent high fever, add 18 to 30 grams of Unprocessed Rehmannia Root; for cough, add 9 grams of Tendrilleaf Fritillary Bulb and 6 grams of opium poppy peel (discontinue if cough stops); for diarrhea, remove Scrophularia Root and add 30 grams of Prepared Rehmannia Root, 6 grams of Indian Buead Tuckahoe slices, or consider increasing the dosage of White Atractylodes Rhizome; if diarrhea persists after taking the medicine, in addition to the medication, cook porridge with finely ground raw Chinese Yam and mix in several crushed cooked egg yolks, consume as a snack twice daily, and stop once diarrhea ceases; for dry stool, add several grams each of Chinese Angelica and Donkey-hide Gelatin; for difficulty in urination, add 9 grams of raw Plantain Seed (bagged) and 6 grams of Belvedere Fruit, or increase the dosage of Peony Root (effective for yin deficiency-related difficulty in urination); for liver qi stagnation, add 9 grams of raw Germinated Barley, 3 grams each of Sichuan Lovage Rhizome and Zedoary Rhizome; for excessive sweating, increase the dosage of Cornus Officinalis to 18 grams and add 18 grams each of raw Fossil Bone and raw Oyster Shell.
