Peony Root (Radix Paeoniae Alba) 4 liǎng
Liquorice Root (Radix Glycyrrhizae) roasted 4 liǎng

[Efficacy]

harmonizing qi and blood, analgesic and analgesic.

[Indications]

  1. Insufficient liver yin will invade the spleen earth, resulting in tightness and pain in the abdomen.

[Addition and subtraction]

  1. aversion to cold: add Aconite Lateral Root, named Peony, Licorice and Aconite Decoction.
  2. wind-cold offends the stomach: add Dried Ginger, Aconite Lateral Root, Evodia Fruit.
  3. Insufficient stomach yin: add Ophiopogon Tuber, Polyghace Seche, Dendrobium.
  4. liver qi invading stomach: combined Bupleurum Liver-Soothing Powder.
  5. Severe muscle and bone pain: combine Merriidian-Relaxing and Blood-Invigorating Decoction.
  6. sprain: combined Sinew-Relaxing and Comfortable Decoction.
  7. Urinary stone pain: combined with Polyporus Decoction.

[Modern application]

Gastrocnemius spasm, gastrointestinal spasm, renal colicky pain, sciatica, hepatitis, pain caused by gallstones, urinary tract stones, and menstrual cramps.
