This formula, such as the Minor Purgative Decoction, targets excess in the stomach and intestines, and is suitable for patients with milder symptoms or those who are physically weaker and more debilitated. The Chengqi Decoction series created by Zhongjing consists of four formulas, except for the Peach Kernel Chengqi Decoction, which is a remedy for static blood. Both the Minor Purgative Decoction and this formula are agents that regulate qi and promote bowel movements. Among these three, this formula has the mildest effect.
