[description]

His late name was Dongyuan Laoren, and he was a native of Zhending (now Zhengding County, Hebei) during the Jin Dynasty. He was born in a wealthy family. His father was fond of studying and entertaining guests, and famous people often visited his home. Although he lived in such an environment, he was different from other children since he was a child. He grew up to be loyal, prudent, careful in dealing with people, and There is no joke in communication. He once studied The Analects of Confucius and Mencius from Wang Neihan (Congzhi), and studied Spring and Autumn Period from Manehan (Shu Xian). When his family was prosperous, he built academies to treat scholars, and also tried his best to provide aid to the poor. For example, in Taihezhong (1201-1204), there was a famine in his hometown and many people went into exile. He tried his best to help, and many people survived. He liked to study medicine since he was a child. When he was in his 20s, his mother Wang died of illness at the hands of quack doctors, so he decided to study medicine. At that time, Zhang Yuan-su, an ancient man from Yishuijie, had a great medical name. After hearing about it, he immediately followed him. After only a few years, he mastered his skills and began to practice medicine. Soon he became famous all over the world for his superb medical skills, especially good at treating diseases caused by cold, Yongju, eye disease and other diseases. Later, to avoid the war, he went to Bianliang and witnessed the tragic epidemic of pestilence in the city, which made him deeply moved. After returning from the north of the Central Plains, he lived in Dongping and Liaocheng in northern Shandong and practiced medicine for six years. He returned to his hometown in 1244. In addition to clinical practice, he used his many years of experience to understand the Wu Shu Li theory and established the theory of "internal injury to the spleen and stomach" as the main body. theoretical system. After his theory was born, it was inherited and developed by his disciples Wang Hao-gu, Luo Tian-yi and others. In later generations, there were many people who studied under him and followed him privately. The "Bitu School", an academic school that continues to this day, was formed, and Li Gao was therefore revered as the founder of this school.

Li Gao took the idea of "cleaning the ancients to support stomach qi" as the main theme, combined with his many years of clinical experience, and made a systematic analysis on the causes, pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and other theories of "internal injury to the spleen and stomach". He contacted Neijing "People are based on grain qi" and put forward the view that "internal damage to the spleen and stomach will cause all kinds of diseases". He believes that the spleen and stomach are the foundation of original qi, and original qi is the foundation of health. If the spleen and stomach are injured, original qi will decline and diseases will occur. In terms of treatment, he advocates: external-contraction febrile disease, use Liu Wan-su's cold and cool method, and internal injury and heat syndrome. Then take Zeng Wen to remove heat, strengthen the body and dispel evil, that is, raise Qing Yang, warm and nourish the spleen and stomach, subdue Yin fire, and create a series of famous prescriptions such as Middle-Tonifying Qi-Replenishing Decoction, Yang-Raising and Fire-Dissipating Decoction, etc. Treats diseases caused by internal injuries to the spleen and stomach. Later generations had many disciples and private disciples, forming the "Butu School", an academic school that continues to this day, and Li Gao is therefore revered as the founder of this school.

After the birth of his theoretical doctrine, it was inherited and developed by his disciples Wang Hao-gu, Luo Tian-yi and others.
