His father was fond of studying and entertaining guests, and famous people often visited his home. Although he lived in such an environment, he was different from other children since he was a child. He grew up to be loyal, prudent, careful in dealing with people, and There is no joke in communication. He once studied The Analects of Confucius and Mencius from Wang Neihan (Congzhi), and studied Spring and Autumn Period from Manehan (Shu Xian). When his family was prosperous, he built academies to treat scholars, and also tried his best to provide aid to the poor. For example, in Taihezhong (1201-1204), there was a famine in his hometown and many people went into exile. He tried his best to help, and many people survived. He liked to study medicine since he was a child. When he was in his 20s, his mother Wang died of illness at the hands of quack doctors, so he decided to study medicine. At that time, Zhang Yuan-su, an ancient man from Yishuijie, had a great medical name. After hearing about it, he immediately followed him. After only a few years, he mastered his skills and began to practice medicine. Soon he became famous all over the world for his superb medical skills, especially good at treating diseases caused by cold, Yongju, eye disease and other diseases. Later, to avoid the war, he went to Bianliang and witnessed the tragic epidemic of pestilence in the city, which made him deeply moved. After returning from the north of the Central Plains, he lived in Dongping and Liaocheng in northern Shandong and practiced medicine for six years. He returned to his hometown in 1244. In addition to clinical practice, he used his many years of experience to understand the Wu Shu Li theory and established the theory of "internal injury to the spleen and stomach" as the main body. theoretical system. After his theory was born, it was inherited and developed by his disciples Wang Hao-gu, Luo Tian-yi and others. In later generations, there were many people who studied under him and followed him privately. The "Bitu School", an academic school that continues to this day, was formed, and Li Gao was therefore revered as the founder of this school.
