The entire book is divided into 547 sections, each first citing Zhubing Yuanhou Lun and other texts to discuss the pathology and symptoms, followed by detailed treatments with various prescriptions, referencing over 160 pre-Song medical texts. The book is comprehensive, rich in content, and serves as a complete pediatric compendium summarizing pre-Song experiences. The cited materials are mostly annotated with sources, making it not only clinically practical but also of significant documentary value. The book preserves excerpts from several lost Tang and Song pediatric texts, providing important insights into the development of pediatrics during these periods.
